 All I can say right now is WOW. I literally just put down the last book of this trilogy and it is amazing. Written by Brandon Sanderson, the trilogy starts with the The Final Empire also known as simply Mistborn. To understand what is going on you have to think of the normal story line you find in fantasy books--you know, where a simple farm boy rises up to defeat the evil, whoever, with some kind of magic powers, his trusty sword, and an unlikely group of friends--then imagine that that had happened 1000 years ago, and the hero lost. The first book is the story of how the people get fed up with the Lord Ruler and decide to take him down. Once you start reading it, you wont be able to put it down. The story continues with The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages. They are all great books with intriguing story lines. This trilogy will make you laugh and cry as you build a relationship with the characters that you could never have imagined you would form. The plot twists and turns giving you whiplash, in a good way, as you unearth the plans of the characters and the forces driving them. I really cant say anymore without giving too much away, so all I'm going to say is READ THESE BOOKS! They are sexy.
